Every two and a half minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted. (RAINN)

Preventing Sexual Violence
Reduce your risk of sexual assault:
- Use the “buddy system” while at a party.
- Watch out for one another and stick together.
- Never leave your drink unattended; the use of date rape drugs is on the rise.
- Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
- You have the right to say “no” if any intimate activity makes you feel uncomfortable.
YOU can stop rape and sexual violence in our community:
- If you see someone being harassed or abused, don’t look the other way.
- Laughing at or making degrading jokes about women can be hurtful.
- Accept that “no”, means “no”. There are no exceptions.
- Continuing past “no” could lead to jail time.
- Believe that ending sexual violence in our community is everyone’s responsibility.
- Make no excuse for violence.
