Residential Specialist - Full time

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, commensurate experience in human services field.  Rotating shift work.  Some overnights and weekends required.  Provide crisis intervention and safety planning in residential setting in person and over 24-hour Helpline.  Assistance with case management and oversight of client’s program progress.  Some lifting required. Valid driver’s license is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Women’s Studies, or related field preferred.  AA or high School diploma with 1 year trauma/helpline experience accepted.  Some daytime, weekend and evening shifts required.
Provide crisis intervention and safety planning in residential setting in person and over 24-hour Helpline to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and stalking.  Direct client services, assistance with case management and oversight of client’s program progress.  Valid MD driver’s license and some lifting required.

 

Administrative Support Supervisor - Full Time

This is a very rewarding position for the candidate that possess strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Responsible for the administrative program to include grants management, technology, and oversight of administrative staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·         Responsibility for the day to day running of the office to include supervision of three administrative staff.
·         Responsible for managing, monitoring, and ensuring agency meets all grant compliance requirements.
·         Maintain all grants management binders.
·         Assist with grant/proposal preparation, processing, and production.
·         Oversees all aspects of the interior and exterior of the office bldg., to include light general maintenance and housekeeping duties.
·         Ensures the building is in compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations.
·         Develop policies and procedures for administrative services.
·         Assist with processing payroll, collect all monies and checks, prepare deposit and summary sheet, and take deposit to the bank.
·         Provide Executive Director with general administrative support.
·         Liaising with senior managers to ensure that staff have appropriate information technology equipment and that office repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
·         Oversee office computers and troubleshooting when necessary.
·         Meet regularly with the Executive Director to discuss cases, procedures, and problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the Program Assistant and Administrative Assistants.  Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3 or more years relevant office experience. 3 or more years of supervisory experience.. Detail oriented and well-organized, able to manage multiple complex tasks. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and leadership ability.  Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills . Proficiency with Current Technical Programs: This includes MS Word, Excel, Access, Web management, etc. It's also important to understand sophisticated phone systems, copy centers and equipment, faxing software, computer back-ups, and cell phones.   Ability to work under pressure with time constraints.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and the general public. Possess excellent listening skills. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and apply relevant therapy concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Completion of SARC’s 30 hr Basic Crisis Response Training.
